TERRYVILLE >> No. 11 Terryville beat No. 14 Bolton 3-2 in a Class S girls soccer quarterfinal game at Terryville High School Friday afternoon.
Bolton’s Julia Hinckley scored just seven minutes into the game on a corner kick from Mackenzie Bosco.
The Bulldogs held the lead until Terryville’s Jenna Covello tied it seven minutes from the half on an assist by Lindsey Hotchkiss.
Midway through the second half Covello gave the Kangaroos the lead on an assist by Joanna Johnson. Makaylan Descault iced it with nine minutes left, despite a final Bulldog goal four minutes later.
Kangaroo goalkeeper Maria Cesare had 15 saves; Bolton keeper Brook D’Amboise had 14.
Class M
No. 3 Lewis Mills 1, No. 27 New Fairfield 0 >> Ellie D’Oca lifted the Spartans to next week’s Class M semifinals with the only goal at Nassahegan Field Friday night. Chloe Waldron, a staple at mifield, had the assist.

Harding 1, Wolcott Tech/Housatonic/Wamogo 0 (forfeit) >> “We have a high numbre of injuries and not enough players for tonight’s game,” Wolcott Tech Athletic Director Ray Tanguay explained. “By the luck of the draw, we have a bye week next week, fiving us two weeks for players to heal, so we expect to be ready to play our Thanksgiving game.”
The team is scheduled to play Aeronautical Technical Institute (ATI) at Mustang Field at Immaculate-Danbury Thanksgiving morning at 10 a.m.
